On Farming // Personal

If the scale of their farming is small enough, they like to work in the company of their children and with the help of their children. Some friends of ours have a farm.  We get little plants from them and fresh produce when the farmer's market opens, and recently they called us and asked if we wanted to come see their newborn calf.  I love their farm and the way they live and the little white one room house that sits on their second property.   Their girls led us over to visit the calf, and showed us the little house they've made in the hay bales.  Isn't their little baby girl calf cute?

This week I spent time making good food, and learning how to use lightroom, driving stick shift, exploring future things, and reading scripture with my dad over breakfast.  My heart aches, but life is good.

"After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort...  Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?" Galations 3:3-5

Evan David, Senior Portraits // Part One

This is Evan.  And these are Part I of his senior portraits.
Evan is also a photographer, and we had planned to take pictures for each other, but the funny thing is we are complete opposites when it come to the world of art//photography(or basically anything).  So when he asked if Friday worked, and I said yes it did, I was excited to see what we were going to do, and didn't mention that it was supposed to snow.  And when he showed up at my door, and it was snowing profusely he was a little disappointed that there wasn't a sun for our shoot, but I was thrilled.

Evan is the kind of person who will dare to rough up a lens to get the shot he wants, and the kind of person who will drive seven hours for an In-n-out burger.  He's never had Nutella, and hates tomatoes.  He's totally into God, and tells people about Him all the time.  He will drive around Wal-mart in an electric cart (with two passengers!) for a very long time instead of watching the super bowl, and then have a conversation with an elderly man about life and God and tea.  He'll ask if he can pray for you, and he'll offer encouragement, and he'll argue his faith.  He is kind, and humble, and a loyal friend.  So yeah.  This is Evan.
