cold finger tips

One thing that I like about having a blog, is that this is my place to document and explore new things.  A year ago I was barely interesting in photography, and now I'm seriously considering pursuing it.  I love that I've been able to learn so much through the blogging community and learning form others, simply googling things, and being able to take picture of people and things around me.
The other day was more of a learning experience than a success.  I messed up some setting on my dad's camera that I am still not quite sure what I did (though it's now fixed) and the pictures ended up super grainy, ( I couldn't tell in-camera) and oddly colored.  It was a bit frustrating, knowing that I didn't know how to fix it, and I've been watching youtube videos and looking through manuals to try to learn everything.  Of course, all that is between schoolwork and college apps and ballet class and rehearsals, so it's been incredibly hectic here.  But basically, I'm really enjoying all the things I've been able to learn in the past year, and frustrating things like this make me even more excited and impatient to learn even more.

  2. maybe it was the white balance and/or ISO? But anyhow, editing saved the coloring of these photos because they're absolutely fantastic. Just keep snapping that shutter, you'll learn loads. xo.
